This is the second book by Martin Gatto, available as a softback in print on demand format only from Amazon. Following the publication of The Tavern Clock in 2010 this companion book updates the reference section of the original book. This edition now has over 500 descriptions of actual tavern clocks for which the author has documentary evidence (as opposed to 300 in the original book). It is not a substitute for the original as the reader is assumed to have read the detailed history and evolution of these clocks. Collectors would be advised to purchase both books.
In addition to the Tavernicus Archive of 500+ clocks there are other chapters comprising the "Random Jottings"; these include all other material previously published in journals and two other chapters. One relates the restoration of a clock by Louis Recordon and the other is a much more comprehensive chapter on the subject of prints on the doors of tavern clocks.
